Lordrush Bear Hunt Guide: Best Heroes, Troop Ratio & How Joining Works
Updated: October 28, 2026
Bear Hunt is the alliance event that matters most for your long-term power, because its personal damage rewards are one of the main sources of Forgehammers for hero gear. It's also the event with the most misunderstood rules. Here's how it works and how to get the most damage out of it.
How Bear Hunt works
- Your alliance rallies against the Raging Bear during a trap window. Each trap is open for 30 minutes, and hunts recur roughly every two days.
- Only alliance members above R4 can start it. Alliances can run two traps, which can't overlap.
- The bear doesn't damage your troops, so only offensive stats matter. Defense and health don't help here.
- Bear rallies cost no stamina. You can only run one of your own rallies at a time, but you can join others.
- Bear Hunt unlocks for the whole server when the Monument milestone "Kindling Embers" is reached (800 lords at Town Center 7).
The joiner rule most players miss
This changes everything about who you put first when joining. The best Bear Hunt joiners are heroes whose first Expedition skill boosts the whole rally, which is why several Epic heroes outrank Mythics here. Joining with a strong solo hero whose first Expedition skill only helps itself adds little.
And because only the four highest-level joiner skills count, levelling that one skill on your joiner hero is worth more than spreading upgrades.
Best heroes for Bear Hunt
These are Lordrush Mastery's mode-specific rankings, the only published Bear Hunt tier lists we found.
Best joiners (slot 1 when joining)
Good news for free players: Rita and Hyeri are farmable, and both have whole-squad Lethality passives.
Best rally leaders (hosts)
The official help center notes that rally damage depends mainly on the rally captain's heroes and on skill trigger chances, not total stats. That's why a rally with lower power can out-damage a stronger one, and why your alliance should let the players with the best leader heroes host.
Troop ratio for Bear Hunt
Since the bear doesn't hit back, Bear Hunt marches lean heavily on archers for damage. Published recommendations:
| Source | Infantry | Lancer | Archer |
|---|---|---|---|
| lordrushhub | 10% | 10% | 80% |
| Lordrush Mastery (Gen 1 start) | 10% | 30% | 60% |
| Lordrush Mastery (Gen 2) | 10% | 20% | 70% |
Plug your march size into the troop ratio calculator; all three presets are built in.
The trap and Hunting Arrows
Trap Enhancement is raised by alliance members contributing Hunting Arrows. The official help center confirms you can keep contributing after the trap reaches its maximum level, but the level won't increase further.
Rewards: why Bear Hunt matters
Personal damage tiers pay out Forgehammers, starting at 2 Forgehammers for the 325K–745K damage tier and rising to 17 at 38.4B+. Every tier also gives Bane shards. Forgehammers power hero gear Mastery, so steady Bear Hunt participation directly feeds your long-term strength. More in the hero gear and Forgehammer guide.
Checklist for every hunt
- Put your best joiner hero in slot 1 when joining rallies.
- Set your march to an archer-heavy ratio.
- Join as many rallies as you can in the 30-minute window, and host if you have a strong leader hero.
- Contribute Hunting Arrows if the trap isn't maxed.
- Stay in your alliance until rewards are distributed.
